Watch out for # 5, a 494 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 16, a 188 yard par-3.
Bear Slide is one of Indiana's premier public golf courses. Golf Digest has given Bear Slide a "4 1/2 Star" rating and included it among the 9 best in Indiana. It has also been rated as one of the top 75 most affordable courses in the USA.
Bear Slide Golf Club offers a Scottish links-style front nine and a traditional style back nine. Bear Slide creek meanders through the back nine fairways and the course features interesting elevation changes throughout.

Great Price for Seniors at $29 18/cart ($42 others)for this layout and conditions. Shot 84/36 putts with course conditions great for this time of year. Mixed up the Blue/White as the 7,000 yds into the wind was too challening. Very fair viewing and landing areas in this links design with fun greens to read and putt on. Played here about 10 years ago and its still a worthwhile stop to play. Will be back again as being a senior has its advantages.
